It is held every year on the Thursday before Halloween following the city wide Halloween Parade from 5:00 - 6:30.
Slime Time has 18 booths of fun games and crafts for preschool - 5th grade. We also serve coffee, hot chocolate, cookies, and a fellowship area for everyone to enjoy!
Slime Time is hosted in the Missouri Valley Christian Church Fellowship Hall. We average 250 children from the community plus all the parents, grandparents, friends, siblings, and community friends who enjoy the fellowship area!
Missouri Valley Christian Church and the Missouri Valley Chamber of Commerce have joined together to use the Fellowship Hall as an inclement weather back up for the City Halloween Parade. For over 50 years the city parade has never had to cancel for rain or snow! 2009 came very close! So effective October 2010, if the Chamber of Commerce decides the weather is not acceptable for the outside parade, the "parade" and food will move inside to the Missouri Valley Christian Church Fellowship Hall with Slime Time.
